Frequently Asked Questions about Interview Coaching:

Q. Why would I need Interview Coaching?

A. Some people perform really well, naturally, at interviews, but - most people find it quite difficult to 'sell' themselves. Most people fail to anticipate tricky questions, so stumble over finding appropriate answers. Many people are so focussed on how to display adequate work experience, they completely forget their resume has already done this for them and the real purpose of an interview is to assess how well you might fit in to this organisation

Many people are good at interviews, but haven't been to an interview for a long time, and are out of step with current practices

Some people haven't been to an interview before, so have no idea what to expect

A number of people feel emotionally disadvantaged for any one of a number of reasons (recent crisis in their personal life, long term unemployed, people who have been absent from work for some time due to illness, retrenchment etc)

These are just a handful of the numerous reasons we find people enjoy an enormous benefit from Interview Coaching

Q. What qualifications, credentials to AWT staff have

A. Our training consultants have various qualifications and experience. Every one of our consultants are certified trainers (Certificate IV Assessment & Workplace Training)

Q. How much experience do your training /coaching staff have?

A. From 15 years to over 30 years each staff member

Q. Can I be confident I will know what I need to, on completion?

A. We have met a great many clients over the years who tell us they have already undertaken the same training elsewhere, but left with numerous questions unanswered and feeling under confident they had learned what they needed to have learned

At AWT we can honestly say we have never had even one client leave our premises, not fully familiar with, and confident in, what they came to learn

Q. What if I'm just not smart enough to learn this?

A. The first, and most important, part of every training session we have is spent ensuring our participants come to feel 100% confident that, by the end of the session, they will know exactly what they need to

Q. Why are these called Workshops, as opposed to courses?

A. Interview Coaching requires not just information being passed on, but active involvement from the participant also. The vast majority of participants take these workshops due to having experienced previous difficulties. For us to make these sessions as valuable as possible, we want to know about the previous difficulties you have encountered, so we can help you overcome them in future situations. This means a workshop, active, all-involved environment - not just a 'sit there and listen while we deliver information to you' session
